On Airport Facilities
The Event site is first and foremost an airport. Wauchula Airport services general aviation and provides the typical aircraft fuel alternatives (excepting autogas), hangar space, tie-downs and FBO services, including Internet access, a comfortable lounge sitting area with restrooms. There are repair facilities on the airport.
Attendees who will require hangar space for the event should contact the airport manager well before the event as hangar space may be limited. Contact information for the airport manager is on the Wauchula Airport Website. Sunstate members requiring hangar space should contact Bensen Days Operations via the Contact Us page.
Food & Other Vendors
Arrangements are made each year for a vendor to provide meals (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) at reasonable rates during the event (Wednesday – Saturday of the event week). Attendees are encouraged to patronize the selected vendor in support of the event. Supporting the on site vendor also allows more time at the airport!
Anyone set up a booth for the event. Vendor fees charged in previous years have been waived. It is not uncommon to see several vendors selling a variety of products from T-shirts to avionics at a Bensen Days event.
